I felt inspired to write a new piece today. Every now and then I get to take a break from projects and write something just for me.

Update on my musical journey to Europe:
Here is the 2nd piece that will be performed by Fames Studio Orchestra in early April. For inspiration I imagined stepping out onto another planet and being in complete wonderment.
I wanted to take a moment and thank my dear friend Felipe Moreno for helping me with the orchestration on both of my tunes. For such a young man, he already has a fantastic understanding of what an orchestra of this caliber can do and his attention to detail was inspiring. Felipe is also a composer as well and I encourage everyone to go listen to his music!

Thanks for listening and stay tuned for more updates!
Hey friends! If you didn’t know, for the last 7-8 months I’ve been on a musical journal taking an online intense masters level course in film scoring. Our last class project is writing for and recording with a live orchestra; this time with the Fames Recording Orchestra in Skopje, Macedonia in early April.
Sooooo, today was a highlight and I printed out my 1st piece! In the video you are hearing a mockup (computer generated recording of the piece) I made to get a general feel for how its going to sound. I have no doubt these talented professional musicians will turn my simple piece into something magical!
Tune-in for a lot more posts about this last leg of my journey as I backpack through Europe and realize a lifelong dream.

Today’s piece was a simple string ensemble cue. A lot of harmonies and melody reminded me of something Andrew Lloyd Webber might compose.
Good company!

I asked the most famous of all paleontologists, my step-son at age 5, what I should write in my studio today. What do you think he said?? You guessed it!
“Dinosaurs!!”
